IEEE ESW in Reno a Huge Success

Terry Becker and Cindy Tedd just got back from Reno, NV, where ESPS both presented and exhibited at the 25th annual IEEE Electrical Safety Workshop. This was Cindy’s first exposition with ESPS, and we couldn’t be happier to have her representing our company and promoting our mission.

It was also a perfect opportunity for Terry to present and defend his latest paper, Application of Work Flow Process in an Electrical Safety Program: Flow Chart.

NFPA Releases Report March 2015 – Occupational Injuries From Electrical Shock and Arc Flash Events

Interesting statistics place emphasis on the fact that electrocution is the leading cause of fatalities. On Page 11 the report indicates that 1% of fatalities are attributed to arc flash. There is NO information at all advising of any fatalities related to arc blast pressure. This report takes previously reported electrical incident data and reviews it in detail. An excellent tool to support a company’s Electrical Safety Program and discussion related to risk assessment.
